Yellowfin allows users to establish connections to Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) data sources. This includes everything from the recommended MySQL database to Oracle, Postgres and more.

This section covers all the data source connections supported in Yellowfin, some of which are shipped with Yellowfin, and some which aren't. For the unpackaged connection, you are required to download the relevant database driver from the provider's website, and manually install it in Yellowfin. These drivers are not included in Yellowfin because of licensing/paywall reasons.

Connections with Drivers Included

You can find the following JDBC connections in Yellowfin that are immediately available for connection upon first startup:

Amazon RDS

Amazon Redshift

Apache Derby

Apache Hive / Hive 2

GreenPlum

HSQLDB Server

Microsoft Azure

Yellowfin also provides access to a built-in generic JDBC connector. See our guide on how to create this connection here.
