Overview
Compares metric values via a size relationship. Can also be used to show hierarchical relationships.
Chart Data Options
Option | Description |
---|---|
Label | Select a field to be used to split the treemap into segments. You can add multiple categories here to display hierarchies. |
Colour | Optional: You can select one field (metric for shaded scale, or dimension for categorical) to define colours for segments. |
Size | Optional: Select a metric to set the size of each segment. If not defined, the size will be set by the number of occurrences in the report. |

Summary
In order to set up a Treemap Chart you will need:
- Create a report with chart display
- Select one or more fields to use as the Label
- Select a field to use as the Colour (optional field)
- Select a field to use as the Size (optional field)
- Create your chart, selecting Treemap as the type under the Analytical heading
- Provide the Label, Size, and Colour options
- Customise the Chart as required
- Proceed to the Output step
- Save your report
