Overview

With the release of Yellowfin 7.3+, you can set up your Views so that every time someone creates any content using them, it would need to be approved by another user to be published.  This ensures that only authorised data will be published and made available to your audience.

Basic Flow

Following is a simple description of how this workflow is executed:

  1. Your administrator can either create a new view or edit a pre-existing one with the approval requirement rights enabled; then assign a user as its approver. (Click here for more detail on this step)
  2. When any user uses that particular view to create a report, dashboard or any other type of content, they will first need to get authorisation from the approver to publish it. (Click here for more detail)
  3. The approver on receiving this request, can review the report before deciding to approve or reject it. (Click here for more detail)
